December 29, 2024: The School of Medicine, Shihezi University, Xinjiang, China, and the Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB), University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan, have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster collaboration in cutting-edge scientific research and academic exchange. This agreement aligns with global advancements in health sciences and marks a significant step in enhancing bilateral ties between the two nations.

The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Wang Yuanzhi, Vice Dean of the School of Medicine, Shihezi University, and Prof. Dr. Moazur Rahman, Director of CEMB, during the Pakistani delegation’s visit to China. This historic occasion coincided with the International Symposium on Veterinary Vaccine and Drug Technology Cooperation Among Belt and Road Countries, held in Shihezi. The agreement reflects the commitment of both institutions to leverage their strengths and resources for mutual progress in health sciences.

Facilitated by Prof. Dr. He Cheng, Chairman of the Symposium and a distinguished scholar from China Agricultural University, this collaboration underscores the pivotal role of academia in fostering international partnerships.
